There’s just too many other options and there’s nothing about this hotel that would make it stand out from the rest. Overall I would not stay at Casa Maya again. It has a convenience store onsite which was perfect. It is a short bus ride away from lots of restaurants and shopping. It is right on the beach with plenty on lounge chairs for the guests to relax. The only things that I enjoyed was the location. We did try their pizza and it was mid at best. They serve buffet dinners and I do not like most buffets and judging by the rest of my experience with this hotel, I did not want to try theirs. The chairs had stains on them and were so dirty that I did not want to sit on them. The furniture and decor was seriously outdated. My friend had to change her room because it had mold. You can smell it as soon as you get off the elevator. The room was very old and had an old smell. The front desk employee who checked us in wasn’t very friendly and did not tell us anything about the hotel. The exterior building looks dirty and in need of a power wash and/or repainting. We were both very disappointed with the hotel. My friend said her brother recommended this hotel.
